Scouts and Akelas,

April 23-25, 2010 will be the dates for the 2010 Boy Scout Regional Jamboree & Cub Scout Family Camp. If you plan to go, you need to let your Den Leader/Cub Master know ASAP! You can click on this link to access the information guide book about what's going on that weekend in-depth.

The cost is $10 per cub scout, $10 per leader/cub parent with a maximum of $30 per family. Those under 5 years old are Free (No Patch). You may pruchase a meal ticket for $7 per person. This includes all three meals that Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.  You'll need to feed yourself dinner before arriving in camp.

Pre-Registration is March 15, 2010 and is limited to the first 6,000 participants!

Below is a list of the Cub Scout Activities, many of which your scout can earn a belt loop achievement.

 

Cub Scout Activities

Cub World

Cub World will include activities for Cub Scouts to participant in throughout the day. Activities for Cub Scouts will include:

  • Archery

  • BB gun shooting

  • Slingshots

  • Swimming

  • Rowing

  • Games

  • Horse rides

  • Climbing, and more.

Pinewood Derby Exhibition Race

Throughout the day a pinewood derby track will be available for Cub Scouts to race their cars. All races are just for fun and no awards or prizes will be given.

Activity Belt Loops

Cub Scouts will also have to opportunity to work on a variety of Cub Scout Activity Belt Loops. 

Some of the belt loops available include:

  • Map & Compass

  • ArtWeather

  • Ultimate Frisbee

  • Language and Culture

  • Marbles

  • Physical Fitness

  • Wildlife Conservation

  • Hiking
